Voice of the Child is kickstarting 2021 with a Winter Walk to help raise well needed funds for our child contact centre. 2020 has been a tough year for the centre, our families, and the children at the heart of them.

In order to continue facilitating contact between children and their parents and providing our specialised child support services, we are launching our Winter Walk campaign!

Throughout January we are asking people to take part in walking 400,000 steps (That's just over 12,000 steps a day!) whilst raising funds for Voice of the Child. Whether you walk alone, with your family or friends (socially distanced, of course!), why not kickstart the New Year with the aim to get out and about in support of our child contact centre!

Remember to share your page with your friends and family along the way and use the hashtag #VOCWinterWalk so we can keep track of all our fantastic walkers! if you are not able to take part please do share our posts on Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram so we can raise as much awareness as possible for our Winter Walk!

How to keep track of your steps

The simplest way to keep track of your steps is by using a pedometer (these are very cheap to buy online!), or by using a stepping app. Pacer Pedometer & Step Tracker or Steps are great apps you can use for your challenge.

Why not add your steps onto your fundraising page each day or post it on your social media to let your supporters know how well you’ve progressed!

                  Where money raised will go

For Every £3 you raise, a child or a sibling group get to spend a minute of  quality time with their dad or mum they no longer live with, with the support of our child contact centre.  For some children, this will be the first time ever they meet their father or reconnected to their mother or father after a good few years.
