COVID19 Messagee: From Founder & CEO, Voice of the Child.
When parents have a strained relationship, and decide that separation is the only option, their children often lose regular contact with either their mother or father. At our contact centre, we facilitate the continuation of contact between children and both their parents.
The maturity and development of a child can easily be affected and stunted, especially by traumatic experiences, such as their parents separating. Voice of the Child offers dedicated support and counselling for children, helping them find a positive path through difficult times.
WHAT IS A CHILD CONTACT CENTRE?
During divorce proceedings and separations, it is difficult for a child’s voice to be heard. This leaves them without the emotional and physical support that they need at such a tough time. Voice of the Child is a children’s charity that is dedicated to making children’s voices heard. For more than 10 years now, we have provided separation support for children as well as their parents. We operate a contact centre in Berkshire that provides supported and supervised contact for families across the county. Individual support and counselling is also available for children, while our advocacy service allows us to represent the needs and feelings of children. We are sponsored by the National Lottery and are proud members of the NACCC (National Association of Child Contact Centres).
